Looking into ways to edit the video
When planning how we want the music video to look we looked into music videos including Nothing on you and That's what I like both by Bruno Mars. Both these videos include edits with graphics making the video have a cartoon aspect to it and making the video a lot more unique and interesting. These types are edits are something we have decided to consider when creating our music video as they look really effective. As it is a fashion video I think this would look really appealing and also draw attention more to the person and the clothing items they are wearing throughout the video.
In the Nothing on you video they use an outline around the people staring in the video. This emphasizes the person in the video making them the main focus and making the background not become a distraction. It adds a surreal look to the video which is really interesting. When two people are staring in the video they joined to the two outlines of the two people together which again makes them to the main focus and doesn't let the background become such a distraction. If we included this in our video this would encourage people when watching the video to focus on the clothing rather than the surroundings.
It makes the surroundings of the video look more cartoon like. These simplistic graphics real improve the overall look of the video making it eye catching and as it's not seen in many other videos it makes it a unique idea. When looking at That's what I like video the edits are a lot more subtle however still effective. When making a step graphic effects are shown to add emphasis. This small intricate detailing works well as it doesn't take any attention away from the point of the video however adds something unique to it. Simple graphic effects like these are something I would consider to include in the video as it puts a more modern twist on the video also making it a lot more appealing.
