Idea One: Documentary

As the module is about what northern soul is to us the first idea is a documentary style video which would consist of asking members of the public, friends and family what does northern soul mean to them? The video could have backing music which could be northern soul. This would also include a variety of people in it and would give us a good range of answers. 

Idea Two: Dancing

The second idea is to focus just on the dance style itself. This could include getting a model who does know how to dance northern soul style. This would also create making a routine and finding music to fit this routine. The model would also wearing northern soul styled clothing to fully reflect to whole vibe of northern soul.

Idea Three: Casual/Dancing

Idea three would be more walking around Sheffield with a little bit of dancing too. This would be a lot more causal than a full northern soul dance. The models could also wear northern soul styled clothing, makeup and hair. The main aim for this video would be to present northern soul style and create outfits that fit in with the theme. We could use northern soul music to fit in with their actions and capture our idea of what northern soul is.
