Mood board 1 Northern Soul

This is my northern soul mood board. I wanted to try and create what the outside perception of northern soul is which is about the style of music and dancing. I used images of people doing tricks when dancing to the music which include different jumps. Also the records that got played and  a band that was known fro the genre. I wanted to show clearly the feel of northern soul and by the images of the jumps and tricks they do throughout the dance this shows that people allow themselves to feel free through dancing and can express themselves through this unique style. I used blue and red coloring around some of the cut out people as these were very popular around this time and I have also seen these colors on a northern soul logo so I decided to incorporate them into my northern soul mood board. I also used an image of a crowd at a northern dance party which presents the passion people had for this style of dance and the amount of people interested in it. I used the popular northern soul logo to show clearly the theme of the mood board.
