Experimenting Making Poster's
Experimenting Making Poster's
I made some posters to decide what kind of layout I liked and if I wanted it to have loads of images on or just a few etc. Like with the leaflets I didn't want to overload the posters with font as I wanted the focus to remain on the images that represent how what the exhibition will include.
For this poster I found this Northern Soul move online and thought it looked really effective. I put other images into circles around it which is a reference to Northern Soul as it looks like the Northern Soul logo. I thought this poster worked really well and looked really effective however the person in the middle is little bit pixelated so even though I did consider using it for my final poster as it was pixelated I thought this wouldn't look as professional as another poster could look.
For this poster it is a lot more simplistic which I like as it is straight to the point of what the exhibition is for and an indication of what kind of images will be being presented. I think this image is really effective which is why I wanted to include it. I used simplistic font which works well with this image. I chose the font to be black which goes well with this image as the background in this image is black.
For this poster I used this image that was taken in the city centre. I think this captures Sheffield street style as it is in the centre of Sheffield. I used red font to stand out more on this poster however it isn't as clear as the font on the other posters which is clearer. I kept this poster very minimalistic which I think compliments the image in the best way
